Launched in 1964, the year of the Tokyo Olympics, "Betachoco" has been a local favorite for nearly 50 years.

It is a sweet bread made by Taiyo Pan, which has its headquarters and factory in Takahata-machi, Yamagata Prefecture. As the name suggests, it is coated with gooey chocolate. The taste of butter cream sandwiched between open copped bread and then boldly coated with chocolate is exquisite.

Since the time of development, the bread has still been carefully produced by hand, one by one.
The butter cream, commonly known as "sticky butter," is spread on open coppé bread. This "sticky butter" is a buttercream developed exclusively for sticky chocolate.
Although the word "buttercream" conjures up a heavy image, "betabutter" is light and mildly sweet, so you will never get tired of eating it with chocolate. Furthermore, the layers of chocolate are clearly conveyed when you eat it by applying the betabutter.

When eating it, it is customary to close the openings and eat it like a cobbler! The chocolate layer becomes even thicker, doubling the deliciousness.

We will operate a chartered train where you can enjoy "Betachoco," which offers a variety of tastes!
