The five-story museum is a landmark of Tokorozawa Sakura Town. Several tickets are available for different admission areas and times, and can be purchased in advance on the web. For this visit, we purchased a "KCM Standard Ticket (including the Bookshelf Theater)" and toured the following areas!

A "town of books" where you can feel the breath and bustle of books.
25,000 books are distributed along the 50-meter street according to nine contexts for reading about the world.
Visitors can encounter books of various genres that they would not normally encounter.
Why not pick up a book you are interested in and go out to find your favorite one?

The library space is surrounded by a huge bookshelf measuring approximately 8 meters. It also became a hot topic as a place where famous artists sang at the Kohaku Uta Gassen (Red and White Singing Contest)!
About 20,000 books are shelved.
Every 20 minutes, projection mapping based on the concept of "playing with books and communing with books" is shown.
Visitors can experience a world of sound and images in which the contents of the book seem to leap out from the cover.

Aramata Wonder Treasure House

A wide variety of exhibits that can be enjoyed visually and sensually are gathered here.
Animal fossils, specimens, and many other exhibits that cannot be seen in everyday life make for a very stimulating space!

This is a relaxing space with rich wood textures where visitors can feel "Musashino," where the Kadokawa Musashino Museum is located.

A place where you can encounter the world's largest number of "entertaining" novels. The collection is about 37,000 volumes.

Kadokawa Shokudo Buffet Restaurant

3rd floor of the main building Kadokawa Cafeteria
Located on the 3rd floor of the main building of Tokorozawa Sakura Town, one step outside the Kadokawa Musashino Museum, is a casual restaurant under the direct management of KADOKAWA. Saitama Prefecture, where Tokorozawa is located, is one of the largest vegetable production areas in Japan. You can enjoy the "deliciousness" of local vegetables as it is!

Kadokawa Shokudo" will change its business format and reopen as a buffet restaurant on September 4, 2024 (Wednesday)!
The restaurant will offer seasonal fairs, where you can enjoy delicacies and desserts of the season's delicacies!
About 20 kinds of toppings can be added as much as you like!
Customized Curry
The buffet features a demonstration of carving homemade roast pork, customized curry with about 20 different toppings, and delicacies and homemade desserts made with local seasonal ingredients from Saitama Prefecture.

A lunch buffet and an afternoon buffet are available, so be sure to stop by for lunch or teatime!

From JR Higashi-Tokorozawa Station to Tokorozawa Sakura Town! There are many places of interest along the route!

In conjunction with the COOL JAPAN FOREST initiative, JR Higashi-Tokorozawa Station, the gateway to the cultural hub, has been redesigned.
As a fusion of books and culture, the cool station building is designed in the image of "book" + "bookshelf"!
