The unique dessert at Ajisai Chaya is ajisai anmitsu (sweet bean paste) for 500 yen (with green tea).
It is made with colorful agar jelly and anko (sweet bean paste) made by Isuzu Seika, a long-established confectioner in Shimoda.
Several kinds of fruits and vanilla ice cream.
Anmitsu with plenty of molasses poured over the top will help you recover from the fatigue of hiking in the mountains.
