Uozu Aquarium, the oldest aquarium in Japan

Uozu Aquarium is the only aquarium in the prefecture, located in Uozu City, Toyama Prefecture. With a history of more than 100 years since its inception, it is the oldest existing aquarium in Japan.
The view of the majestic Tateyama mountain range is also wonderful.
Introduced here is the "Pearl Corner," a souvenir shop adjacent to the Uozu Aquarium with such a long history. The atmosphere of the Showa period (1926-1989) still remains strong, and if you enter the store expecting a typical souvenir shop in an aquarium, you will be surprised!
The building is directly connected to the aquarium, with a rest area on the second floor.

There are also many cute animal flocky mascots. Many people come from far away for these mascots. Some are rare, such as old mascots that are no longer manufactured and mascots in original colors that are only sold here. All of them are so cute that you can't help but grab them.
