Nanoka-machi Kabo is a great place to stop by on your way to see the sights.

Coffee shop with a modern atmosphere
This time, we would like to introduce one of the many stores, Nanoka-machi Kabo, located on Nanoka-machi Street in Aizu Wakamatsu City, where many old-fashioned warehouses and wooden and Western-style buildings built from the Edo period to the early Showa period still remain. The interior of the store, which is housed in an existing storehouse from the Meiji era, has a modern atmosphere with a hint of Taisho Romanticism. The showcases are lined with a variety of confections, including Western-style confections. There is also a coffee shop in the store, where you can enjoy a cake set with your choice of cakes from the showcase.

Speaking of Tarouan! Aizu no Tenjin-sama

Natsu-mikan" (summer oranges), the goddess of heaven in Aizu
Aizu no Tenjin-sama" is an established confectionery that was created in 1979 when the first store opened. It is a steadfast favorite of Tarouan with its slightly sweet bouche dough sandwiched between salted butter and processed cheese cream! Several seasonal flavors sandwiched with seasonal delicacies are also available, and for the coming season, the "summer mikan" is recommended! The refreshing flavor of the summer mikan cream, with its sweet and sour aroma spreading to the palate, has a refreshing aftertaste.

Mugenkyo is a valley on the border of Kanayama and Mishima towns in the Aizu region, which has been attracting much attention in recent years both in Japan and abroad for its scenic beauty shrouded in river mist during the summer. The confectionery named in honor of the Kirigenkyo Gorge, which melts your heart with purity, is a cookie chocolat that is crispy on the outside and melts with rich chocolate on the inside.

Access to Nanokaicho Kabo

To reach Nanoka-machi Kabo, it is convenient to take the Machinaka Shuttle Bus "Hikarasan" from JR Aizuwakamatsu Station! If you want to take a leisurely stroll around the town, we also recommend renting a bicycle from the "Ekitabi Desk" at JR Aizuwakamatsu Station.
