For a short trip, we will also introduce "Asozan Jokeiji Temple," a famous hydrangea viewing spot located about 30 minutes by car from Nagaozan Myorakuji Temple. Known locally as "Kakio's Hydrangea Temple," Jokeiji Temple was founded in 1615 as a temple of the Jodo sect of Buddhism. A nun was sent from Denzuuin, the family temple of Tokugawa Ieyasu's mother, to protect Jokeiji for generations.

The village of Kakio is surrounded by rich nature. As if blending in with the scenery, Jokei-ji Temple has carefully preserved its traditional hermitage-like atmosphere. It is a place where quiet time flows, gently healing the hearts of visitors. Designated as one of the 100 best places to view flowers in Kanagawa, the temple is home to seasonal flowers such as cherry blossoms, daffodils, wildflowers, skunk cabbages, hydrangeas, higanbana, bush clovers, plum blossoms, camellias, and camellias throughout the year.
