Ishii Farm Erdbeere, which we will introduce today, is located close to a train station, which is one of the most attractive features of the farm. It is a strawberry farm that is only a 10-minute walk from the nearest station, JR Nishi-Funabashi Station.

It takes about 10 minutes on foot from JR Nishi-Funabashi Station! Easy access is also an attraction!

To find the farm, simply exit the south exit of JR Nishi-Funabashi Station and walk straight along the railroad tracks toward Tokyo. You will see red and pink "Strawberry" banners when you start to wonder if there is really a place for strawberry picking ahead, looking at the bustle in front of the station and the condominiums and multi-tenant buildings lined up along the railroad tracks.

Strawberry picking is by reservation only. Currently, it is held only on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and reservations can be made at the store or by phone. (Please confirm the details directly.) Once you have completed the registration and step into the greenhouse, the sweet aroma of ripe strawberries fills the air, making you feel excited! Ishii Farm's strawberry picking has a fixed meeting time, and everyone enters at the same time. The owner, Mr. Ishii, will teach you how to choose the best strawberries and how to pick them well, and then you will start picking strawberries for 40 minutes.

You can eat them while picking, or sit on a chair in the prepared area and eat them in a relaxed manner. To allow visitors to taste the sweet, ripe strawberries as they are, condensed milk is not provided, but visitors are welcome to bring their own.

Compare 8 kinds of strawberries!

Another attraction of Ishii Farm is that visitors can compare as many as eight different varieties in a single greenhouse. Although there are not as many as there should be at certain times of the year, visitors can enjoy eight varieties: "Oi C Berry," "Yayoi Hime," "Star Night," "Hoshi no Shimmering," "Peach Berry," "Shohime," "Benihoppe," and "Yotsuboshi. Some of them are as big as a child's fist. Some of them are as big as a child's fist. However, according to Mr. Ishii, the owner, even if they are small, the ones that are red all the way to the base and so ripe that they are almost cracked are the sweetest and tastiest.

Ishii Farm's strawberry cultivation uses honeybee crossbreeding, pest control by natural enemies, and electrolyzed strongly acidic water and strongly alkaline water to reduce the use of agricultural chemicals, and also uses organic fertilizers in the soil in an effort to preserve the environment. The reason why we do not hold strawberry picking every day is so that visitors can taste only the truly delicious ripe strawberries. We insist on devoting ourselves to caring for the farm on days other than the days when strawberry picking is held.

Erdbeere" in the farm's name means "strawberry" in German. The owner was a member of a German soccer team in the past, which is why he chose this name. The owner is a very friendly person who will call out to you in the house and give you advice.
