Due to the Noto Peninsula Earthquake of 2024, the schedule of the Anko Festival has been postponed. The postponed schedule will be held on March 10 (Sun), 2024 at Itoigawa site, March 17 (Sun) at Aomi site, and March 24 (Sun) at Nose site. There will be no change in the schedule for the Anko Fair.

It is the "Itoigawa Anglerfish Fair and Anglerfish Festival," which is held every year in Itoigawa City, Niigata Prefecture.
Grown in the rough seas of the Sea of Japan! Itoigawa Anglerfish
The sea of Itoigawa has a steep terrain where the 2,000-meter mountains of the Northern Alps plunge into a deep trench, and the strong anglerfish grow up in the rough waves of the Sea of Japan in winter.
Itoigawa anglerfish weighing more than 10 kg are called "Itoigawa Aranami Anglerfish." You can taste the richly flavored anglerfish liver, called the foie gras of the sea, and the plump, firm, collagen-filled meat.
