Fireworks Monogatari" will light up the night sky of Gero Onsen in winter.

The theme for each month is different, such as January's fireworks to celebrate coming-of-age, February's fireworks for Valentine's Day and wishes for success in school, and March's fireworks for the Peach Festival, graduation, and starting on a new journey. In addition, the fireworks will be performed by the world's top-level pyrotechnicians! The latest fireworks by the world's top-level pyrotechnicians will be launched, making this an event not to be missed.

Schedule for "Winter Gero Onsen Fireworks Story" in 2024

The schedule of this year's "Winter Gero Onsen Hanabi Monogatari" and the themes for each day are as follows.

  Schedule: Every Saturday from January 6 to March 30, 2024
Launching site: Hida River bank downstream of Gero Ohashi Bridge (Cancelled in case of stormy weather or rising water)
Launching time: 20:30 - 20:40 *for about 10 minutes

Adult fireworks: 20-stage fireworks display to celebrate coming of age. Fireworks with an adult atmosphere.
January 13 (Sat)
Hanamochi (flower cake) fireworks: Hanamochi (red and white flower cakes) are displayed at homes in the Hida region.

Spring is Here, Spring is Here, Fireworks at the End of the Cold Season: Fireworks with warm colors. After watching the fireworks, warm up in a hot spring bath!

Setsubun Fireworks: Pray for good health with red and blue demons and bean-throwing.
