Hirosaki Castle Snow Lantern Festival is one of the five major snow festivals in Michinoku, and attracts many visitors every year.

Snow lanterns of various sizes and miniature Kamakura Kamakura (straw lanterns) line Hirosaki Castle in winter, and are lit from around sunset.
The snow-covered Hirosaki Castle is illuminated, creating an ethereal scene with the soft lights of the snow lanterns.
At the festival site, there will be a large snow sculpture in the shape of Hakodate Haristos Orthodox Church, projection mapping using the snow sculpture as a screen, the Grand Corridor of Tsugaru Nishiki-e with pictures of Hirosaki Neputa, and many other worth-seeing events.

You can take a leisurely stroll through the snow-covered Hirosaki Park.

I'll make love to you!

The highlight of the festival is the projection mapping using a large snow sculpture as a screen!
Colorful light art is projected on the large snow sculpture, giving it a three-dimensional effect and making it look very impressive.
Please take your time to enjoy the giant artwork floating in the evening darkness.
