Entering the main entrance on the first floor, you will be greeted by a large Christmas tree in the atrium. The main tree "White Layer Tree" made of a real fir tree with a total length of about 13 meters is a sight to behold!
This year marks the 10th anniversary of KITTE's opening. The white layer of strings floating above the tree and the light from the tree's annual rings at the base of the tree create a space where visitors can feel the time that has passed since the opening of the building.
A special stage was held to further enliven "WHITE KITTE!
The song, written by Mr. Kiyotsuka and with lyrics by Ms. Hirahara, is said to express his thoughts on the importance of encounters that enrich our lives.
Ms. Hirahara says that she thinks of Tokyo Station as "a place where you can remember the important people who see you off and see you on your journey. KITTE, located right in front of the station, is a wonderful place where people can meet each other.
Why not visit Tokyo Station and KITTE to enjoy the Christmas season?
Lighting shows are held every day during the period♪
