One of the most spectacular views in Izu is Mt! Izu Panorama Park, located in Izu-no-kuni City, Shizuoka, is a spot where you can enjoy nature to the fullest, with a summit area with terraces offering spectacular views at the top of Mount Katsuragi, a foot area with stores and restaurants, and a ropeway connecting the two. For those who want to enjoy the view of Mt. Fuji in a slightly more luxurious way, we introduce Izu Panorama Park.

What is Izu Panorama Park?

Izu Panorama Park has two areas. The "Foothill Area," where you will find stores selling Izu's specialty products and restaurants serving Izu's seasonal delicacies, and the "Summit Area," where you will find a park with a spectacular view of Mt. These two areas are connected by a ropeway that takes visitors on a 3,600-meter-long aerial walk! The ropeway will take you from the foot area to the summit area in about 7 minutes.

Let's take a look at the foot area first. Here you will find a collection of stores and restaurants offering a wide variety of Izu's delicacies. Blue Market!", a souvenir store boasting one of the largest selections in Izu, will reopen in summer 2023! Fuji-shaped monaka with ochazuke stock inside, Izu black curry, Fuji motif tableware, and other famous Izu confections and original products are available for purchase. We also recommend that you enjoy the products purchased at the store in the summit area.

Fuji Yokan" is one of the most popular souvenirs. The original lemon, strawberry, and new summer orange flavors are crystalized.

Visitors can also enjoy pizza and pasta using seasonal ingredients unique to Izu at the Italian restaurant "TRATTORIA IZU PARADISO". Visitors can enjoy authentic Italian cuisine such as grilled beef flavored with Shizuoka wasabi and fresh fish from Numazu Port.

360-degree panoramic "summit" area

Upon arriving at the summit, visitors will find the open-air observation deck "Heki Terrace" just off the ropeway. The summit area is a vast park equipped with cafes and observation decks in a natural setting. The unobstructed view allows visitors to enjoy a spectacular 360-degree panoramic view. There are also private gazebos and Japanese-style cafes where you can relax and enjoy the scenery.

The observation plaza "Heki Terrace" is the most popular spot in Izu Panorama Park, with an observation deck and sofas and benches where you can sit and relax freely. The "upside-down Fuji" reflected in the azure waters is a photo spot that cannot be seen anywhere else.

The Water Lounge

It is a special place on the azure terrace. You can enjoy the view over the water basin in the space where you become one with the colorful blue.

Katsuragi Saryo

This café is based on a Japanese theme. You can enjoy coffee, tea, sweets, udon noodles, etc. while enjoying the spectacular view of Suruga Bay and Mt. There are table seats inside where you can enjoy the view from the large windows, and counter seats outside where you can enjoy a great sense of openness. Recommended matcha sweets include matcha roll cake and matcha lemonade!

Private gazebos are also available by reservation only. You can relax and unwind in a space surrounded by nature.

Katsuragi Coffee specializes in take-out. In addition to drip coffee and café lattes, you can enjoy original non-alcoholic cocktails. The vibrant non-alcoholic cocktails are pleasing to the eye, with Katsuragi Sunrise and Suruga Ocean symbolizing the scenery of Izu!

Four Seasons Nature

Surrounded by nature, a variety of flowers bloom in the summit area in spring. Loubai (around early February), Someiyoshino (around early April), azalea (around mid-April), hydrangea (around June), etc. bloom, and you can also enjoy the fresh greenery in summer and autumn leaves in fall, no matter when you visit.

There is a boardwalk where you can enjoy forest bathing, a footbath where you can use while enjoying the scenery, and many other attractions.
