Did you know that there is a large dammed lake called Lake Ryujin upstream from the Takase River that flows through Omachi City?
The dam lake is called "Ryujin-ko" after a local legend, and was created by the "Omachi Dam" on the Takase River, which originates from Yarigatake in the Northern Alps. Surrounded by the mountains of the Alps, Lake Ryujin is truly a treasure trove of nature, and during the fall foliage season, visitors can enjoy the spectacular scenery.

There are walking trails, parks, and a viewing plaza in the surrounding area, making it a great place to relax and spend time.
It is also close to Omachi Onsen-kyo, so it is well worth a visit.
