The dynamic and fantastic projection mapping images of traditional craft motifs unique to Matsumoto City, cherry blossoms in full bloom in spring, and flowers in the Northern Alps will be projected. Matsumoto City, where Matsumoto Castle is located, is only about 2 hours and 30 minutes from Shinjuku by direct express train and about 2 hours from Nagoya! It is easy to visit. This year, we will introduce the highlights of the "National Treasure Matsumoto Castle Keep Projection Mapping 2025-2026," which will be held for the third year.

The "National Treasure Matsumoto Castle Keep Projection Mapping 2025-2026" will feature the castle keep and stonewalls of Matsumoto Castle, one of the five existing national treasures and the oldest of the five-story, six-story castle keep, along with traditional Matsumoto craft motifs such as the Matsumoto City Museum's Nishiki-e woodblock prints depicting the commercial capital Matsumoto, gorgeous folding screen paintings, Matsumoto Temari and lanterns, Dynamic and fantastic projection mapping images of cherry blossoms in full bloom in spring and flowers in the Northern Alps will be projected. <The first phase: The castle that transcends time - a story of light

The theme of the first phase is "The Castle that Transcends Time: A Story of Light. Nishiki-e (woodblock prints) depicting Matsumoto as a commercial city, gorgeous folding screen paintings, and motifs of Matsumoto's traditional crafts such as Matsumoto temari and chochin lanterns will be projected on the screen.
<Phase 2: Memory of Light - Digest of Famous Scenes

The theme for the second season is "Traditional Culture Colored with Light. In the second phase, the most popular scenes from the past two years of projection mapping will be remade and projected.

Illumination of "Daimyocho Street" and "Chitose Bridge
From December 13, 2025 (Sat) to February 15, 2026 (Sun), Onamachi-dori and Chitose-bashi Bridge will be illuminated with about 80,000 warm lights. Trees along the streets and riverbeds will be illuminated to create a romantic atmosphere! The illumination will be held from 17:00 to 22:00.
