The founder's vision of "Wakasaimo".

Ingredients are mainly from Hokkaido.

These beans look as white as Hokkaido's snow, and the best quality beans are selected for their tender texture, which is similar to that of baked sweet potatoes. In addition, to give the baked potato the fibrous texture seen when it is split in half, Hokkaido chopped kelp is kneaded in with the white bean paste. The outside is coated with egg and soy sauce to give the baked potato a savory crust. The "wakasaimo" is not only particular about this. Although it is now possible to import ingredients from many different countries, Wakasaimo is made by artisans, one by one, using ingredients from Hokkaido, with the wish that "everyone can eat delicious food with peace of mind" and "everyone in the region can be happy.
The 100th anniversary of the naming of "Yaki-imo", the predecessor of "Wakasaimo". This is the birth of a new soul food of Hokkaido.

The demonstration corner at the Toyako main store also offers "Imoten," a tempura of "wakasaimo" (sweet potato).
