To be completed in October 2023! The new symbol of Kusatsu Onsen [Onsen-mon Gate]!

Onsen Gate, a new entrance to Kusatsu Onsen, has been completed on Route 292 leading to Kusatsu Onsen Town.
To solve this problem, one lane of the national highway was converted into a multi-level intersection, and the elevated roadway was made to look like a gate, which is now called "Onsen-mon Gate.
The completed multi-level crossing was made into a "Yubatake no Satellite," a facility where visitors can enjoy footbaths. Three 6-meter-long yudoi (hot spring gutters) provide 600 liters of hot spring water per minute. At night, the hot spring is lit up and can be enjoyed under the lights. With a free parking lot (100 cars) and restrooms nearby, the gate has truly become a gateway to Kusatsu for visitors.
There are plans to make the central avenue leading to the hot spring fields through the Onsen Gate more enjoyable to walk along by paving the avenue in a cobblestone style and planting trees.
Please visit the new symbol of Kusatsu, "Onsen-mon Gate," a 10-minute walk from the symbol of Kusatsu, "Yubatake," with free parking and a footbath to enjoy!

Taken around 16:00, you can feel the cold when the sun goes down.

The autumn leaves were just past their best.
Famous hot spring under the heaven! Kusatsu Onsen inn "Kin Midori, the inn of old-fashioned heart".
This time, we will introduce you to the inn in Kusatsu Onsen, "Kokushin no Yado Kin Midori" (Inn of Old Heart).

The inn is a long-established Japanese-style inn founded in 1902, and has a history of cherishing the "old-fashioned spirit" of the good old days.
It is conveniently located about a 3-minute walk from Yubatake, the symbol of Kusatsu, and about a 2-minute walk from Ura-Kusatsu, a new sightseeing spot in Kusatsu, but its quiet atmosphere is popular among guests.
The hot spring at Kin Midori offers two different sources of hot spring water: the Yubatake source in the indoor bath and the Bandai-ko source in the open-air bath! Both the Yubata-source and Bandai-ko-source are highly acidic. Soaking in the hot water will warm your body from the core. The private open-air baths located in a separate building (charged) are also very popular.

The rooms, mainly Japanese-style rooms, have a calm atmosphere that makes you feel nostalgic and relaxed.
After taking a rest in the hot spring or in your room, we recommend changing into a yukata of your choice and taking a stroll through the bustling hot spring resort town!
For dinner, enjoy a kaiseki-zen meal carefully prepared with seasonal ingredients.
