Furano, the "navel" in the center of Hokkaido, is famous for its lavender fields in summer, the Hokkai Navel Festival, and the TV drama "Kita no Kuni Kara" (From the North), but have you ever visited in winter? Furano in winter is covered in soft snow. We would like to introduce a popular sightseeing spot, Ningle Terrace, a romantic shopping area in the forest, located at the New Furano Prince Hotel, and Furano Kankan-mura, a long-running event that brings color to Furano's winter season!

Ningle Terrace is located in a fairy-tale-like forest. Ninguru" refers to the "wise men of the forest," about 15 cm tall, who live in the forests of Hokkaido and appear in the works of screenwriter Satoshi Kuramoto. Walking along the forest boardwalk, it seems as if little fairies might appear at any moment.

Each log house in the forest is a store of handmade original works. Candles, paper crafts, wool works of cute little birds, snowflake accessories made of silver, small leather goods, wooden ornaments, etc., are all available only here, using nature as a motif! A winter festival of snow and ice! Welcome to Furano Kankanmura!

Next to Ningle Terrace, in the area of the New Furano Prince Hotel, "Furano Kankanmura" opened on Sunday, December 21! The festival is held every year from late December to late February of the following year. The village is illuminated by 70,000 colorful lights, and there are many popular spots for snow globes and photo opportunities! Why don't you enjoy the fantastic atmosphere of snow and ice on a winter night in Furano and leave your own wonderful picture?

Snow tubing with a total length of about 200 meters! An activity that can be enjoyed at night as well!

Snow tubing," a popular activity at Furano Jankanmura, is a 200-meter-long slide! Under the shining illuminated archway, you can slide through the snow. Adults and children alike will enjoy playing in the snow with all their might! To protect yourself from the cold, you will need a windproof down jacket, gloves, scarf, hat, ear protection, disposable body warmers, etc.

Enjoy playing in the snow and touring around the area at Furano Joyous Cold Village, which appears only on winter nights!
