Kayano Kogen Observatory is located at an altitude of about 1,200 meters and is a scenic spot from which you can view the southern, northern, and central Alps and the northern Ina Valley.
During the daytime, you can enjoy a panoramic view over the peaceful Ina Valley, and it is a somewhat relaxing place to take a breather. At sunset, the sunset over the Central Alps and the silhouette of the mountain range are a must-see, and it was selected as one of the 100 best sunset points in Shinshu. At night, look up and you will see a star-filled starry sky, while the night view of the town spreads out below, creating a fantastic sight.
