Hachifuru SHIBUYA meets AKITA] Recommended Souvenirs & Take-out

Too cute to eat! Hachi-no-Hozui

Hachi-no-Hozu
Hozui is a Japanese confectionery made by hardening egg whites with agar, and is also known as Japanese-style marshmallow.
Hachi-no-Hozui" is a product with Hachiko's face printed on it.
Nine little bees packed in a small box are very cute.
The faces of the bees lined up in a row have three different expressions: smiling, smiling, or sitting back. You will be satisfied just by looking at them.
When you hold it in your hand, you will find that it is a Japanese-style marshmallow, and it has a gentle sweet aroma unique to Japanese sweets. Although the texture was soft to the touch, it was not like a marshmallow, but rather a firm texture like a bun with a gentle sweetness. The chocolate bean paste inside is delicious. Some Ekitabi staff members say they can't bear to eat them because they are so cute.
Of course, you can eat them as they are, but since they are small and bite-sized, we recommend topping them on your favorite sweets and drinks. Just by floating them on top of cakes, ice cream, anmitsu, etc., or in hot drinks, you can create your own cute original Hachiko sweets!
The box is also designed in a cute Japanese style, and each of the 9 bees is individually wrapped, making it a perfect souvenir or gift.

Strawberry Softie" using raw Akita milk Strawberry Softie" using raw milk from Akita

Hello Hachi! Strawberry Softie (Hello Hachi! Strawberry Softie)
Next is the soft-serve ice cream! The name is "Hello Hachi! Strawberry Softie"! Strawberry Softie! The name itself is already cute, and this is a handsome takeout item that can be eaten outside the store.
The milk soft serve from Akita Prefecture is filled with the extract of strawberries from Akita, the hometown of Hachi, and the "Hachi no Hozui" (Hachitaro), which we introduced earlier, is standing next to it with a little "Hello" on its face. The "Hachi no Hozui" can be added for 216 yen (tax included) per piece, and up to 3 pieces can be added, so it is recommended when you want to share or take a picture of a sweet that looks good.
The combination of the slightly pink strawberry extract and the gentle face of the bee doubles the cuteness.
The milk soft serve has the richness of raw milk but a refreshing taste that goes perfectly with the strawberry extract. The strawberry extract is a combination of Akita strawberries, gently sweetened sugar and barley candy, a traditional Akita sweetener, carefully prepared over the course of a whole day. The strawberry pulp can be felt in abundance, and not only does it look pretty, but it tastes authentic as well! With a refreshing aftertaste, it is a perfect snack on a hot day. For those who want a sweeter treat, there is an additional condensed milk cake! For those who want more sweetness, an additional condensed milk topping (108 yen including tax) will soak up even more sweetness. The cups are palm-sized, making them easy for even small children to eat and take with them.
This is the perfect rewarding sweet when you want to take a break in Shibuya and want both "reflection" and "deliciousness". Why don't you enjoy these cute Hachitaro sweets in between sightseeing in Shibuya?
