Participating stores are marked with "Hitoyasu" noren (curtain) lowered.
In this second of five installments of "and trip" Shima Onsen, we will introduce the "Autumn Sweets Tour (Autumn) Stamp Rally".
Following the spring and summer of 2023, the "Sweets Tour Stamp Rally" will be held again this fall. A wide variety of sweets are available, perfect for the fall season of appetite!
This stamp rally is open to 22 stores in the Shima Onsen spa resort area, and once you have collected three stamps, you will be entered into a drawing to win prizes related to Shima Onsen! This stamp rally card can be used for future trips, so you can collect two stamps for your autumn trip to Shima Onsen and one stamp for the winter menu in December or later.
Examples of the menu items from participating Shima Onsen Japanese and Western sweets stores include apple pie and dolce pizza filled with locally grown apples, smoothies made with locally grown blueberries, nostalgic baked pudding perfect for souvenirs or take-out, hot and freshly fried onsen fried manju (steamed buns), and zenzai (sweet bean soup made with soft boiled large flower beans), to name just a few. The Shima Onsen is divided into five districts, each with its own specialties.

The coloring seems to have been delayed this year, perhaps due to the extreme heat.
The autumn leaves are not yet fully matured here.
Excellent for beautiful skin! Shima Onsen inn "Harukitei Nakazawa Ryokan
This time, we will introduce you to Shima Onsen's inn, Harukitei Nakazawa Ryokan.

Harukitei Nakazawa Ryokan is a family-run inn with a total of 6 rooms, located on a hill in the hot spring resort area.
The inn, themed on the Edo style, has four baths with different atmospheres, including a bath with a hexagonal window for observation, all of which can be used "privately" if available. Many guests enjoy the hot spring baths several times a day because they can relax and enjoy the hot spring without worrying about others!

There are 2 rooms with private open-air baths or wooden hut baths, and 4 rooms with a view of the Shima mountains. All six rooms have a different interior design, so you can spend a relaxing time with a fresh feeling even if you visit again.
The meals are "Ryorogo-gozen," local cuisine arranged with seasonal ingredients, and have a nostalgic homemade taste. The proprietress's handmade "Ganmodoki with cheese" is especially recommended! Please try the genuine handmade deliciousness♪ For breakfast, enjoy the healthy country cuisine "Furusato no zen" such as "Tabi-ro soup" and "millet rice" with a lot of ingredients.
