On Saturday, September 9, event planning company Oiseo Blue opened its first store in Akanko Onsen, Kushiro City, under the apparel brand "AKAN LEATHER" made of Ezo deerskin. The brand is named "AKAN LEATHER" because the leather used in its products is mainly from Ezo deerskin caught in the Tohoku Kaido region, which includes Lake Akan. The stylish store has many jackets made of Ezo deerskin leather.
Inside the store, you will find jackets and coats featuring Ainu patterns created by Akibe Hideo, an Ainu folk artist from the Akan lakeside area. In addition to Ezo deerskin jackets, the store also sells cosmetics made with Ezo deerskin oil and crafts made from Ezo deerskin horns.
