How to enjoy Shima Onsen: Mystery Solving Mystery
There are many famous and hidden hot springs in Gunma Prefecture, but this time we will introduce you to Shima Onsen, a sacred hot spring that is said to "cure 40,000 illnesses.
Shima Onsen, which has five hot spring districts, offers many attractions such as traditional hot spring towns, power spots, one-day hot springs, footbaths, and drinking fountains.
From mid-October to early November, there are also many places recommended for viewing the autumn foliage, such as Okushiman Lake and the area around the prefecture-designated natural monument, Ouketsu (potholes).

It takes about 3 hours from the Tokyo metropolitan area by express train and bus. Please come and visit Shima Onsen, which is full of attractions!

This is a hands-on event where you can walk around Shima Onsen with a kit in your hand and follow the mysteries hidden in the hot spring resort.
You will take on the role of the main character and go to the actual location where the story takes place to solve riddles and codes in order to find the culprit of the crime that occurred in the story.
The time required is about 2 to 3 hours, so why don't you play the game before or after your check-in time and take a stroll around the hot spring resort?

Okushiman Lake is popular as "Shima Blue.
Although the water volume was low and the weather was rainy, we were able to see the compelling blue color!

This time, we will introduce Shima Yamaguchikan, an inn located in Shima Onsen.

Located alongside the clear Shima River, Shima Yamaguchikan is a popular inn for its warmth of wood, gentle breeze, and open-air bath where you can become one with the mountain stream. There are three baths: the "Otagime Grand Open-air Bath," the "Keiryu Open-air Bath: Shima River Hot Spring," and the "Yakushi no Yu" baths, where the mineral-rich hot spring water is free-flowing and moisturizes the skin.
In the "Otome Grand Open-air Bath" and "Keiryu Open-air Bath Shimagawa-no-yu," the Shima River that flows in front of the open-air baths is lit up at night!
You can enjoy a different view than during the daytime.
Only guests staying at the hotel can enjoy this luxurious nighttime view from the open-air baths.

Various types of rooms are available, including Japanese-style rooms, Japanese-style rooms, and Western-style rooms. The rooms on the Shima River side offer a panoramic view of the nature of the Shima River through large windows.

From JR Nakanojo Station, take the Kanetsu Kotsu "Shima Onsen Line" approximately 30 minutes and get off at the "Yamaguchi" bus stop.
