Omiya Green, located near the coast of Atami, has become famous as a place associated with "Golden Yasha," a masterpiece by the great writer Ozaki Momiji of the Meiji era. The climax of the novel takes place on the Atami Coast. There is a statue of Kan'ichi Omiya, which is a replica of the shocking scene where the main character, Kan'ichi, learns of his forgiving wife Omiya's betrayal and kicks her.

Golden Yasha" was serialized in newspapers during the Meiji era (1868-1912), and later became an immortal masterpiece that was published in book form and dramatized into a play. It is also the work that made Atami famous as a tourist city.

A stone monument next to the "Omiya-no-matsu" tree is inscribed with a haiku poem by Oguri Kazuha, a follower of Ozaki Momiji, titled "Miya-no-mikara noshiroshiya yatsu no tsuki" ("The back figure that resembles the palace, the moon in spring"). It is a great place to contemplate the world of tragic love novels.
