SAKEICE is an ice cream with sake mixed into it, a high-alcohol sweet for adults! Collaborating with sake breweries all over Japan, we are bringing a new Japanese experience to the world. In this issue, we will introduce the different types of SAKEICE, our impressions of each flavor, and where you can actually enjoy SAKEICE.

What is "SAKEICE

SAKEICE is "sake + ice cream," and as the name implies, it is ice cream with sake mixed in! I have had sakekasu ice cream and other types of ice cream in the past, but SAKEICE allowed me to taste sake beyond compare! While most conventional ice cream has a trace amount of alcohol content of less than 1%, SAKEICE has an alcohol content of approximately 4%, making it an ice cream for adults who are advised not to drive after eating SAKEICE, and of course, underage people are not allowed to eat it.

Introducing the "SAKEICE Variety Box" of ice cream cup flavors

The following are the flavors included in the "SAKEICE Variety Box" from among the many flavors available.

Sake Ice Cream

Sake Ice Cream" is a standard item! It is the steadfast No. 1 popular product. It looks pure white. The first bite is more of a milkiness, with a sorbet-like texture that allows you to feel the sake in it. The light texture makes it easy to gobble up, but as you go on, the sake feeling increases, and by the time you finish it, you feel as if you have had a refreshing cold sake.

Sake Ice Cream - Yuzu

Sake and highly aromatic yuzu are kneaded into the milk ice cream. The aroma is like a mixture of refreshing yuzu and milk, and when you take a bite, it is like a milk sorbet. It is a light sorbet, but as you eat it, the aroma of sweet sake and yuzu spreads. The aroma of the yuzu matches the sake, giving it a luxurious taste.

Sake Ice Cream - Chocolate

Sake and chocolate are kneaded into the milk ice cream. The creamy texture of the milk ice cream and the sweetness and aroma of the chocolate are well balanced. After putting it in your mouth, you will smell the aroma of sake and have the impression that it is refreshing and easy to eat. The combination of sake and chocolate was unexpected, but I think I will be addicted to it..!

Sake Ice Cream - Matcha

Sake and refreshing matcha green tea are kneaded into the milk ice cream. The balance between the elegant matcha flavor that spreads in the mouth and the richness of the milk is exquisite. The taste of matcha and refreshing matcha are perfectly balanced with the richness of the milk, yet you can still feel the sharpness of the sake. There is no bitterness or astringency from the matcha, and the texture is mellow and melt-in-your-mouth. Sake and matcha are truly Japanese ice cream.

Sake Ice Cream - Otokoyama

This ice cream is made with Otokoyama, a sake produced in Asahikawa, Hokkaido, which is characterized by its crisp, light and dry taste produced by the severe cold weather. The taste of milk spreads in the mouth at first, but is soon followed by the refreshing flavor of sake. The sake flavor leaves a strong aftertaste, making it more refreshing than conventional milk ice cream. It is not too sweet, so I ate it with a crunch, but after I finished it, I could feel the alcohol from the sake.

Murasaki Amazake

Purple amazake, made from purple black rice and malted rice, is kneaded into the milk ice cream. This is a non-alcoholic product. The sweetness of the rice is directly felt in the ice cream, which is recommended for children and those who do not like alcohol. It has a sorbet-like texture and is not too sweet, but the gentle sweetness of the rice makes it easy to finish.
