Okutadami Silver Line" is said to be "a road you must pass through at least once" when heading to Okutadami. You will pass through a 22-km long road. This road was built to transport materials for the construction of Okutadami Dam completed in 1960. The road is now open to ordinary vehicles, and approximately 18 km of the 22 km length is a tunnel section, where you can view the rock surface from the time of construction from inside the car while driving.

The difference in elevation between Okutadami municipal parking lot and the dam square is 50m, and it takes about 4 minutes by slope car. The fare is 200 yen for adults (100 yen for elementary school students) for one-way trip and the capacity is 40 people, including wheelchair users!

The "Gofunein" is based on red seals used at temples and shrines throughout Japan, and each company participating in the "Gofunein Meguri Project" produces its own unique "Gofunein".
