Omagari Fireworks
In particular, the National Fireworks Competition, commonly known as "Omagari-no-Hanabi," held every August, is one of the three largest fireworks festivals in Japan, boasting a history of over 100 years and widely known as a summer tradition in the Tohoku region.
In addition to the summer competition, Omagari holds unique fireworks shows in spring and fall.
The "Spring" program was originally called "Fireworks of the World and Fireworks of Japan," and from 2023, the "New Fireworks Collection" held in the "Winter" program will be upgraded to include both "Fireworks of the World and Fireworks of Japan," making it a more spectacular event. The "Autumn Chapter" was a new annual theme.
In the "Autumn Chapter," the theme changes every year, and local pyrotechnicians entertain the audience with the "Fireworks Art Festival," a fireworks display that is presented as a show.
In this way, each season, spring, summer, and fall, has its own unique fireworks display.
What is the highlight of the "Spring Chapter"?
This year's competition will also feature a collaboration between Japanese fireworks and ARTEVENTIA, a French fireworks company, as well as fireworks by the winner of each category of the 97th National Fireworks Competition!
All spectator seats at the venue are charged, and in addition to chair seats and table seats, photographer seats are also available.
