Shinbo Mochiya @Niigata City, Niigata Prefecture

Strawberry Milk
Shinbo Mochiya, a long-established rice cake shop established nearly 100 years ago, is located in a corner of the Fresh Honmachi shopping street in Niigata City. One of the charms of this shaved ice is that you can customize it as you like. After choosing the texture of the ice from "fluffy" or "skinny," you can choose the syrup of your choice! We also recommend toppings such as "grains of sweet bean paste," "milk," and "dumplings," which are made by a Japanese sweets shop and are sure to be a hit.

Kuromitsu Kinako
Tsubomi" is a Japanese-style cafe owned by "Ryotei Honami," a two-Michelin-starred restaurant located in Kanazawa, about a two-minute walk from the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa, and recommended for travel. The ice used is from "Kuramoto Hyogyo," which has been in business for over 90 years in Kanazawa City. Kaga-bocha (stick tea) is also served with the ice. The shaved ice carefully prepared by the chefs is superb!

Natural Keshiki @Toyama City, Toyama Prefecture

Shaved ice (peach)
Normally a herb tea store serving kamameshi lunches and other dishes, this famous restaurant is popular for its summer-only shaved ice; from July through September, it switches to serving only shaved ice. The fluffy, snowy shaved ice is topped with a whole peach! Ice cream is also included in the ice, making for an excellent shaved ice with excellent cosmetics.
