A summer tradition in Tachikawa! Tachikawa Festival National Showa Memorial Park Fireworks Display

The Tachikawa Festival National Showa Memorial Park Fireworks Display has been held for more than 60 years since the first Tachikawa Noryo Fireworks Display was held in 1954 on the banks of the Tama River near Hino Bridge. In its long history, there have been times when the event could not be held due to weather or various other reasons, but thanks to the cooperation of many people, it has been possible to hold the event. Let's catch a glimpse of the brilliant, large-ringed fireworks!

A spectacular show of thousands of fireworks lighting up the night sky

The fireworks include the shakudama and ichishaku go-sun dama, which are rarely seen in Tokyo, and the starmine, which is a very powerful firework. The Geikyodama, which are prize-winning fireworks from a fireworks craftsmen's competition, and other features make for an endless display from the start to the end of the show.
The main viewing area, the National Showa Memorial Park Minna no Hara Fields, is a vast lawn with a sense of openness, where you can lay out a seat and relax. Of course, if you use the paid bleachers, you can enjoy the fireworks from the best viewing spot without the need to reserve a spot.
