The Tachikawa Festival National Showa Memorial Park Fireworks Display has been held for more than 60 years since the first Tachikawa Noryo Fireworks Display was held in 1954 on the banks of the Tama River near Hino Bridge. In its long history, there have been times when the event could not be held due to weather or various other reasons, but thanks to the cooperation of many people, it has been possible to hold the event. Let's catch a glimpse of the brilliant, large-ringed fireworks!

A spectacular show of thousands of fireworks lighting up the night sky

Fireworks of great power, such as shakudama and ichishaku-gosundama, which are rarely seen in Tokyo, and starmine fireworks will also be launched. The Geikyodama, which are prize-winning fireworks from a fireworks craftsmen's competition, and other features will keep you entertained from the start to the end of the show.

The main viewing area, the National Showa Memorial Park Minna no Hara Fields, is a large open lawn where you can lay out a seat and relax. Of course, if you use the paid bleachers, you can enjoy the fireworks from the best viewing spot without the need to reserve a spot.

The event is scheduled to be held even in the case of light rain, but will be cancelled in the event of stormy weather, and there will be no postponement date.

*Because the admission fee is scheduled to be waived after 6 p.m. on the day of the fireworks display, the park will be very crowded when visitors arrive after 5 p.m. Therefore, we recommend that you come to the park with plenty of time to spare, as well as to take your place during the paid hours during the daytime. Please be careful to avoid heat stroke.
The number of visitors in the previous year was 356,313 (inside the park) and 400,000 (including the outer perimeter).
