The Nishi-Amagi Plateau is located on the Nishi-Izu Skyline, one of Japan's 100 most scenic roads in Izu. The Nishi-Izu Skyline runs between Toda Pass and Doi Pass. Along the 11-kilometer road at an elevation of 800 to 900 meters, you can see Suruga Bay, Mount Fuji, and the Southern Alps between the mountains if you are lucky. In addition to the spectacular views, the road is also popular among touring cyclists due to its low traffic volume. After about 20 minutes of driving south along the Nishi-Izu Skyline, you will see a grassy area on both sides of the road. This is the Nishi-Amagi Plateau. Dairy cows graze on the plateau, which is 750 meters above sea level, and visitors can fully enjoy the magnificent nature. There is a restaurant where you can enjoy barbecue and light meals. Please stop by when you drive out. Please check in advance for restaurant and other information.
