What is Goshogawara Tachineputa?
The highlight of Tachineputa is its large scale. The huge doll lanterns, more than 20 meters high and weighing about 19 tons, parade through the city. The music and dancers who enliven the festival are also very attractive.

Full of power! Tachineputa Exhibition Room
A large screen in the room shows a video introducing Tachineputa and Goshogawara City, allowing visitors to experience the atmosphere of the festival while viewing the actual neputa.

Observe the process of making Nepertas at the Tachineputa Factory
It takes more than half a year to complete one Tachineputa. It is a rare opportunity to see it up close, so it is a must-see when you visit the Tachineputa Museum.

The papering process takes place approximately from April to June, and during this period, visitors can try their hand at papering for free! You will be issued a "paper pasting certificate" for the experience, so it will be a good memory of your trip. If you wish to try it, please inquire in advance.
Make your own memories! Experience the making process
In the goldfish neputa making experience, visitors can paint a face, pattern, and color on a pure white goldfish-shaped neputa. This experience can be enjoyed by both children and adults.

Enjoy souvenirs and sweets!
At the "Product Corner Hana Shobu," you will find goods related to Tachineputa, as well as sweets and specialties unique to Goshogawara. Dried rice cakes, which have long been made in the Tsugaru region of Aomori Prefecture as a winter preservation food, and "red apples," which are dyed red all the way to the pulp inside, are Goshogawara's specialty products. Dried rice cakes, apple juice, and other processed products are recommended as souvenirs!
