Near the Shin-Tamagawa Bridge
Submerged forests can be seen from May to mid-June, when the snow melts, at Tamagawa Dam and Lake Hosenko in Akita Prefecture and at Armorhata Dam and Lake Shusenko.
They can only be seen for about a month when water is released from the dams and the water level changes in preparation for the summer water supply. The fresh green mountains and the mysterious submerged forest will surely soothe you!

The lake's surface appears a beautiful lapis lazuli color because of the Tamagawa Onsen water that flows upstream. The recommended time to visit is early morning or mid-morning when the weather is nice and the air is clear.
