2025 Fairy Tale Village Takigami Shiba-zakura Festival" will be held from Wednesday, May 7 to Sunday, June 1, 2025.

Takigami Town, located in the Okhotsk area in eastern Hokkaido, was declared in full bloom on May 5, and the "Fairy Tale Village Takigami Shiba-zakura Festival" is now underway. Shiba-zakura (moss pink) in Takigami Park covers an area of about 10 hectares. It was first planted at the entrance of the park in 1957 with a seedling the size of a tangerine box. Since then, the people of Takigami Town have carefully nurtured the flowers, which now cover the entire park and are said to be the largest of their kind in Japan. The Fairy Tale Village Takigami Shiba-zakura Festival, which is crowded with tourists and locals every day, is introduced here!

*Closed after hours from 18:00 to 8:00 the next morning for safety reasons.

Children (elementary and junior high school students) 250 yen (groups 200 yen) (during the blooming period)

Shiba-zakura (mossy cherry blossoms) are now in full bloom!

During the "Fairy Tale Village Takinoe Shiba-zakura Festival," events are scheduled mainly on Saturdays and Sundays. This is a chance to experience the sale of local specialties and original breads from "Phlox Marche," and to try your hand at crafts!
