Under the refreshing blue sky of Biei, the colorful scenery of flowers is breathtaking!

The green season has arrived at "Shikisai-no-oka, a flower garden with a view" in Biei-cho, located in the center of Hokkaido, and from early May to early October, Shikisai-no-oka is in full bloom with various seasonal flowers starting from spring flowers to summer and autumn. Nemophila is famous in Honshu, where it blooms from mid-April to early May at "National Hitari Seaside Park Miharashi no Oka" in Ibaraki Prefecture, but in Biei, you can enjoy it from June to July every year. Under the refreshing blue sky of Biei, the sight of nemophila and poppies in full yellow and colorful blooms is truly breathtaking. *Nemophila blooming has been suspended for the year 2025.

The purple flower muscari is now in full bloom!

Enjoy the colors and fragrances of flowers in season during the green season, which lasts until early October!

From mid-May, purple muscari flowers are in full bloom and are at their best! Muscari flowers can be enjoyed until late May. Pansy flowers are scheduled to bloom from May to mid-June. From now until early October, the 14 hectares of flower gardens will be filled with colorful flowers such as oriental poppies, marigolds, sunflowers, lavenders, goldfish plants, and lupines! Flower seedlings are also available for sale. Visitors can enjoy Hokkaido's typical scenery with Tokachi-dake and Furano-dake in the distance.

The bright blue flowers of nemophila bloom in profusion. Enjoy the blue sky, white clouds, and beautiful scenery of Biei by walking slowly! The impression of the flower field will change depending on the time of day, dusk, and other viewing locations. The blooming of nemophila has been canceled for the year 2025. In addition to flowers, the park also has an alpaca farm that is very popular among children! Why not get up close and personal with the adorable alpacas?

From early May to late October, we recommend taking a ride on the Norokko, a cart, or a baby carriage to tour the park. The Norokko-go (tractor bus) is very popular for its leisurely, leisurely ride around the flower garden!
