What kind of clothes should I wear to visit the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route in spring? Some of you may be wondering, "What should I wear to the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route in spring?" It is quite cold during the "Yuki-no-Otani" event, and you need to dress as if it were midwinter.
From April to June, the walking paths around Murododaira and Midakehara Kogen are covered with snow, so waterproof trekking shoes or boots are recommended for walking on the snow. Sunglasses are also recommended due to the strong reflection of the snow. Temperatures are low, around minus 5 to 10 degrees Celsius when it is cold, but it gets hotter as you walk, so a jacket with front buttons or zippers that are easy to put on and take off is useful. Shoes should not have slippery leather soles, and should have grooves to prevent slipping.
