The sky was clear and the weather was beautiful!
On a sunny weekend day in early April, I visited the ruins of the Ichijodani Asakura clan in Fukui Prefecture. Although the cherry blossoms were blooming earlier than usual, the pale pink of the blossoms shone against the green of the mountains, making it a perfect time for a stroll.
Mr. Kishida, the chairman of the board of the museum, doing his best to explain the site to us!
We arrived at the reception desk of "Fubara Machinami" a little before 11:00 am. At that time, I was asked, "I will give you a guided tour of the townscape from 11:00 a.m. free of charge. I was asked if I would like a free guided tour of the town from 11:00 am. I wondered why, since a reservation is usually required and the time and fee are fixed, but it seemed that this time on that day was special. The guide was Mr. Kiyoshi Kishida, chairman of the Asakura Family Ruins Preservation Association!

As soon as he entered the museum, he burst into a Kishida-style speech! He gave us easy-to-understand explanations with a lot of humor. He explained in a humorous and easy-to-understand manner. *This is where the red circle is. When viewed from the other side of the same single path (photo ②), it strangely looks straight.... I wonder why.... Let's visit the site to see, hear, and understand! Let's visit the site to see, hear, and understand!
The weeping cherry trees were swaying in the wind.
A carpet of violets!
It's so quiet...
A snack after the walk!
The tour lasted about 60 minutes. It was a very enjoyable time. Another pleasant experience was the "Zenzai" (sweetened red bean soup) served at the tour. After walking for a while, the sweetness of the sweetness was even sweeter.
According to Mr. Kishida, the mountain is part of the ruins...
We put our hands together.
After that, we headed to Karamon Gate, the remains of Asakura-kan and its garden, and the grave site of Lord Asakura Yoshikatsu, and thought about the long history of the Asakura clan. After leaving the ruins of the Ichijodani Asakura clan, we went to eat Fukui's specialty, grated buckwheat noodles...the end.
