A wide selection of souvenirs!

Fukui's plums are thick and delicious!
Echizen soba noodles, grilled mackerel sushi, pickled plums, heshiko, local sake.... The store offers a large selection of delicious foods from Fukui Prefecture! It is a convenient place to buy souvenirs.
In addition to regular products, there are many sweets and seasonings made from local specialties, such as heshiko-flavored potato chips and ume dressing, etc. If you look at them one by one, you will spend all day..!

Hokuriku Editor's Recommendation: Heshiko

Heshiko is a local dish of Fukui Prefecture made by marinating mackerel in salt or rice bran. It is salty and goes well with white rice and sake.

If you want to eat "seafood" on the spot...!

Toretore Sushi is recommended. Fish caught in Fukui are labeled with a sticker that says "local product," making them easy to recognize. At the time of our visit (February 15, 2023), flatfish, spear squid, and small sea bream were on display as "locally caught" fish.

Sashimi as well as sushi can be purchased. Sushi and sashimi can be purchased and eaten at the eat-in space inside the store.

Wakasa lacquered chopsticks" are one of the traditional crafts for which Obama is proud. They are also famous as the nation's No. 1 share lacquered chopsticks. There is a lineup of lacquered chopsticks with various designs, including those with embedded seashells. With so many to choose from, you are sure to find your favorite chopsticks..!

There is a restaurant on the second floor, and the Sodomon sightseeing boat can also be accessed from here..!

On the second floor of Fisherman's Wharf is Kaikoen, a seafood restaurant where you can enjoy fresh seafood. Sodomon sightseeing boats also depart from Fisherman's Wharf, making it a recommended base for leisure, shopping, dining, and sightseeing in Obama.
