Starting with skunk cabbages, which are the earliest to bloom in Japan, Fuefuki-shi will be in full bloom in spring, followed by cherry blossoms and then peach blossoms, which boast the largest peach garden in Japan. Please come and experience the most gorgeous spring season of the year in Fuefuki-shi.
Fuefuki-shi is located in the east of the Kofu Basin in Yamanashi Prefecture, and the Fuefuki-gawa River, from which the city takes its name, flows through the center of the city. The fan-shaped area on the other side of the Fuefuki-gawa River is a peach-growing area that boasts the largest production of peaches in Japan, and is appropriately called "Momogenkyo. The peach blossoms in Momogenkyo are a symbol of spring in Fuefuki-shi, and the spring scenery is described by many as "like a carpet of pink. In addition to peach blossoms, spring in Fuefuki-shi is "a profusion of flowers. We will provide you with information on cherry blossoms, skunk cabbages, Japanese lily-of-the-valley, roses, and other flowers blooming all over the city.
