Hidden Cherry Blossom Spot

It's like a tunnel of cherry blossoms!

Suddenly, where do you think of the most famous cherry blossom viewing spots in Kanazawa? Most people probably think of Kenrokuen Garden or Kanazawa Castle Park, both of which are easily accessible from JR Kanazawa Station, and both of which are famous tourist attractions in their own right.

The place I am going to introduce here is somewhat far from the station and not so famous, but I visited there when I lived in Kanazawa and it left a very strong impression on me.
A river called Fushimi River runs through the western part of Kanazawa City. It is a second-class river in the Saigawa River system, originating from Kuragedake in Kanazawa City, joining the Takahashi River on its way to the city center, and joining the Saigawa River near the Ishikawa Seibu Ryokuchi Park.
Cherry trees (Someiyoshino) are planted along both banks of the river between Nishiki Bridge and Kobu Bridge, and visitors can view the cherry blossoms as they walk along the river.
Although the weather was unfavorable on the day I visited, the cherry trees in full bloom were still very beautiful and made the dull mood of the day brighten up. Although we walked only a short distance between the Kofu Bridge and the Hogo Bridge, we were able to enjoy a satisfying cherry blossom viewing experience, with branches of cherry trees overhanging the promenade in places, creating a tunnel of cherry blossoms along the way.

The view from Kofu Bridge. The weather was unfavorable, but the cherry blossoms on both banks were very beautiful.
Cherry blossoms in full bloom. You can take a walk surrounded by cherry blossoms.
Although it is far from the center of Kanazawa, it is a good place for those who want to enjoy cherry blossom viewing in a quiet place.
We recommend that you book your stay in Kanazawa City with the " JR East View Dynamic Rail Package "!
