Fukui] Takefu "Yamamuro" Soba Noodles with Grated Japanese Oroshi Soba

There are many restaurants serving grated buckwheat noodles in the Takefu Station area! Hokuriku editorial staff also goes to different stores every time to compare soba noodles. This article introduces Yamamuro, located about an 8-minute walk from Takefu Station.

The menu is rich and includes a wide variety of soba and udon noodles as well as set menus and rice bowls. If you come to Fukui, you must try "Oroshi Soba" (buckwheat noodle with grated radish)! But I was also curious about the limited-time-only Kamo Namban, so I ordered that as well.

There are two types of soup stock for grated buckwheat noodles: one contains grated noodles and the other contains only grated noodles! I prefer this one because it is more satisfying.
Winter Special Kamo Nanban
This is a limited menu item during the cold season, Kamo Nanban Soba. The duck fat glistens in the sauce. The thick, sweet green onions are also juicy and delicious! Yuzu pepper comes with the dish, so I dipped the duck meat in it while eating. It warms you from the inside out!

A set meal featuring Echizen City's three local delicacies is also available.

In addition to oroshi soba (buckwheat noodles with grated radish), Echizen City's other local delicacies include borga rice and Takefu Ekimae Chinese soba noodles, which together are known as one of the city's three major gourmet specialties. If you have come all the way on a trip, you may want to conquer all three, but if you can't eat that much food, we recommend the "Hi-Three Gourmet Soup Set". This set includes Echizen Oroshi Soba, Volga Rice, and Takefu Ekimae Chinese Soba, each in a miniature size.
