Do you know a beer that fills you with such a sense of anticipation unique to airports? Its name is "Narita Airport Ale. It is made with Nelson Sauvin, which is reminiscent of white grapes, so it has a gorgeous aroma as soon as you open the bottle, and the mouthfeel is refreshing and fruity. It also has a slight bitterness typical of craft beers. The secret ingredient is olive oil made from Boso olives produced in Chiba Prefecture, which give the beer a very nice aroma, and it has a mellow, mellow, champagne-like taste. The "baggage tag," a unique airport item on the bottle, adds to the travel experience.
Narita Airport Ale was created on May 20, 2022, the anniversary of the opening of Narita Airport!

Q. How did you come up with the idea to launch Narita Airport Ale?
Narita Airport has been severely affected by the new coronavirus and has spent several years witnessing a deserted landscape never seen before. And this impact is also on the tourist areas in the area surrounding the airport. In spite of this, we did not want people to forget the "joy of traveling" and the "excitement of being at the airport," so we decided to work with the surrounding areas to develop an original Narita Airport product, starting with a beer that is both a luxury item and a good match for local products.
Q. Can you tell us why you have limited the release (where people can eat and drink) to Narita Airport and the surrounding area?
We decided to develop a beer that is both a favorite and a good match for local products. The reason for this is that we brew with microbreweries in the prefecture, one by one, putting our heart and soul into each brew, so we are not able to produce a large quantity at a time. However, the brewery is currently scheduled for expansion, which will enable us to increase production. Basically, our sales will be centered on Narita Airport and the surrounding areas, but we will expand our sales locations.
