GALA Yuzawa is a snow resort directly connected to the Shinkansen station! It is directly connected to GALA-Yuzawa Station, which is 71 minutes away from Tokyo Station by Shinkansen bullet train, and a 6-minute free shuttle bus ride from Echigo Yuzawa Station. Therefore, day-trip skiing from the Kanto region is also possible. Beginners and experts alike can enjoy skiing, snowboarding, sledding, and snow play to their heart's content.

As you exit the ticket gate of Gala-Yuzawa Station, you will find the ski center "Kawabanga" in front of you. This is the area where you can get everything ready before hitting the slopes. There is a rental corner for ski boards, snowboards, boots, and clothing, as well as a sports store, changing rooms, and lockers! From ski and snowboard rental fees to restaurants, you will be happy to know that you can use your transportation IC card at many facilities! Having coins in your wear pocket can be painful when you fall down.... Lightweight and thin traffic IC cards are very convenient because they can be carried around without being bulky.

After getting off the gondola, you will arrive at the slopes. Although course openings vary depending on snow conditions, GALA Yuzawa Ski Resort has 16 different courses, 11 lifts, and ropeways! There are gentle courses perfect for beginners, woodland courses for those who want to take it easy, and advanced courses with steep slopes from the top of the mountain, etc. The view of the mountains from GALA Yuzawa Ski Resort is spectacular, so you can ski while enjoying the scenery! There is also a special area for sledding and snow play called "Yuki-asobi Park," so children can visit with peace of mind.
