We visited YAE, a galette specialty restaurant in Higashi Chayamachi, where galettes made with buckwheat flour are perfect for both lunch and snacks. The Hokuriku editorial staff went for a snack this time and selected the "Sugar Butter". It was a large galette, but we were able to eat it easily.

The interior of the store, which is a renovated warehouse of a machiya (townhouse), has a stylish and relaxed atmosphere. It was a perfect place to take a break while strolling through the teahouse district.

Access

About 10 minutes by bus from Kanazawa Station [bus stop: Hashiba-cho] and about 5 minutes on foot.

Hashiba-cho bus stop is in the area where the Kanazawa City Free Ride ticket is available.
