What is princess cuisine?

Mibu Castle, located in Mibu-cho, was a "castle of hospitality" that was visited by the Tokugawa shoguns as a lodging castle after the construction of Nikko Toshogu Shrine. Recently discovered dishes based on the menu of the fourth lord of the Mibu domain, "Torii Tadateru" (the ninth in line from "Torii Mototada," the loyal retainer of Tokugawa Ieyasu), which was found in the "Gozeitacho," are reproduced in modern style as "Ohime-sama Ryori.

The "princess ryori" includes dishes that are not only pleasing to the eye but also to the taste buds, such as a set meal that looks like a ball-shaped box and French cuisine served in a round, heavy-weight container!
