The 26th Naritasan Park Autumn Foliage Festival The first sunrise of the year in Inubozaki!

- Sightseeing
The easternmost point in Japan is Cape Nosabu in Nemuro City, Hokkaido, but due to the tilt of the axis around which the earth rotates, Inubozaki in Choshi City is the earliest place in Japan to see the sunrise for the 10 days around New Year's Day. Next year, why don't you make a vow for the New Year by watching the first sunrise at Inubozaki?
What is Inubozaki like?
At the tip of the cape is a pure white lighthouse that looks great against the blue sky. It was the first lighthouse made of domestic bricks, and while it has a long history, you can actually go inside and climb up. The lighthouse overlooks the Pacific Ocean, giving visitors a great sense of openness.
There are several other hot spring facilities where visitors can enjoy bathing along with a sense of freedom while gazing at the Pacific Ocean as far as the eye can see. A little further away, there is "Chikyu no Marukumieru Oka Observation Hall" where you can realize that the earth is round, as the name suggests, and "Byeongbukke Ura," a series of steep cliffs outside the Inubosaki area, and there is still much more to see.
What is the first sunrise like?
From dawn on New Year's Day, traffic regulations will be enforced around Inubozaki due to heavy congestion on the roads. If you plan to go see the first sunrise, it would be better to check in advance.
It is also a very cold time of the year, so please take all possible measures to protect yourself from the cold and welcome the New Year.
On New Year's Day, you can also enjoy the annual "Hane-Daiko New Year's First Drum Festival" at Chikyu no Marukumieru Oka Observation Hall and the annual "Wadaiko New Year's First Drum Festival" at Choshi Port Tower.
How about welcoming the New Year in Choshi in 2026? How about it?
