A popular annual illumination event! Blue Cave SHIBUYA
The "Blue Cave SHIBUYA" started 10 years ago in 2014 as the "Nakameguro Blue Cave. The event was then moved to Shibuya in 2016. Since then, it has attracted visitors as a tradition of the Christmas season.
The "Blue Cave SHIBUYA" in 2019 was so popular that the number of visitors exceeded 1 million in the first 3 weeks of the event, and eventually over 3.2 million people visited the event.
This "Blue Cave" has been held outside of Shibuya in the past. Starting with "Blue Cave SAPPORO" in Hokkaido in February 2018, "Blue Cave OSAKA" in Kansai in September 2018, "Blue Cave FUKUOKA" in Kyushu in September 2019, and "Blue Cave NAGOYA" in Aichi Prefecture in July 2022. It has become an illumination event loved by people from all over Japan!
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the first event. What kind of event will it be?

The blue illumination starts from Shibuya Koen-dori Avenue, a 5-minute walk from the Hachiko exit of Shibuya Station, and at the main Yoyogi Park Zelkova tree-lined avenue, mirror mats are laid so that the light reflects off the road, making the entire area look like another world.
In addition, to commemorate the 10th anniversary this year, a giant spherical balloon, "Blue Cave - THE SNOW DOME", will make its appearance, with a shining light and images playing on it! This balloon will project a snow globe-inspired image, adding to the Christmas mood. There will be tricks in the snow globe before and after the illumination is turned on.

This year, approximately 600,000 lights will turn the streets of Shibuya a bright blue, awaiting all visitors!
