Frostflowers" spreading over Lake Akan and Mt.

Hello everyone. Today, I would like to introduce you to a spectacular sight that can only be seen in winter from Akan Town in the eastern part of Hokkaido. Have you ever seen a natural phenomenon called "frost flowers"? Frost crystals form on the frozen lake surface at night and are further cooled by the outside temperature. Let's take a look at the weather conditions under which frost flowers can be seen!

Frostflowers can only be seen in limited weather conditions!

Frostflowers are a phenomenon formed when water vapor freezes on the surface of a lake. Frostflowers appear when the temperature is low enough to cover the lake with ice, but they can only be seen when at least the following three conditions are met. The three conditions are as follows. No snow on the ice. Temperature must be below minus 15 degrees Celsius. No wind. The conditions are as follows. Lake Akan has hot springs rising from the bottom of the lake. The water vapor created by this rising water is cooled by the outside temperature, which is below minus 15 degrees Celsius, and becomes a frosted flower.

The light is beautiful, isn't it?
I hope you all got some good photos.
