The "SL Fuyu no Shitsugen-go" arrives at Shibecha Station.
All passenger cars will be renewed for operation in winter 2023. The interior of the car, with its abundant use of wood, has a warm and nostalgic atmosphere. Cars No. 2, 3, and 4 are "stove cars," and are equipped with a "dharma stove," which is very rare nowadays. Car 2, Car 3, and Car 4 are "stove cars," which are equipped with a "dharma stove," a very rare item nowadays. Car 2 is a "café car" with an in-train sales space, where limited-edition goods and surume (dried squid roe) that can be placed on the Dharma stove are very popular. The "Dharma stove," which is typical of winter in Hokkaido, adds to the atmosphere of the trip. The scenery from the windows of the "SL Winter Marshland-go" is great, but you may also be able to see Hokkaido's winter wildlife.

From Sapporo, board the 6:48 a.m. departure of the "Limited Express Oozora No. 1" first thing in the morning, and you may be able to see the sunrise from the eastbound train window. The train arrives at Kushiro at 10:57 a.m. after a four-hour ride. After saying goodbye to the "Limited Express Oozora No. 1," board the "SL Winter Marshland" train departing from Kushiro at 11:05 a.m., arriving at the final destination, Shibecha, at 12:35 p.m. Upon arrival at Shibecha, you will be able to enjoy the only view in Hokkaido of the SL being replaced in a snowy landscape. On the return trip, you will board the "SL Winter Marshland-go" departing from Shibecha at 14:00, arriving at Kushiro at 15:42. The distance traveled by train from Sapporo on this day is 444.7 km, which is quite a lot of iron. After replenishing your iron, you can enjoy Kushiro's specialty "Zangi" or seafood dishes, and enjoy the tastes of Hokkaido to your heart's content.

The "SL Fuyu-no-Shitsugen-go" runs between Kushiro and Shibecha on the Kushiro-Senmo Main Line. It is a 5-car train and all cars have reserved seats.
The up train departs from Kushiro at 11:05 and arrives at Shibecha at 12:35, and the down train departs from Shibecha at 14:00 and arrives at Kushiro at 15:42.
Tickets and seat reservation tickets can be purchased at "Eki Net" from 10:00 a.m. one month prior to the boarding date, and can be picked up at the station before boarding. Seat reservation tickets can also be reserved with "Ekinet Ticketless Seat Reservation Ticket," eliminating the need to issue and receive tickets at the ticket counter! You can use the ticketless service. (A separate boarding ticket is required in addition to the ticketless seat reservation ticket.)
The "SL Winter Marshland" will operate on January 21, 22, 27-29, February 3-12, 17-19, 23-26, March 3-5, 10-12, 17-19, and 21, 2023.
