When the cold season arrives, be sure to try the Sendai Seri Nabe with Chinese cabbage and pork, a specialty of Sendai for a limited time only. Using "Sendai Seri" and "Sendai Hakusai" delivered from contracted farmers in Sendai City, we lavishly use vegetables that have grown with the farmers' love and care. Enjoy Sendai's famous Seri nabe with a light broth.

Izakaya Kirin's manager recommends "Miyagi Sanriku oysters with shells," which are only available in summer and winter for a limited time. The fresh oysters, which are shipped directly from the producing area, are large, plump, and creamy. Please enjoy the taste of the raw ingredients as they are.
The chef carefully selects fresh seafood for the "Sashimi Assortment," the contents of which change depending on the day's stock. The variety of sashimi is abundant, so it is a must-try dish.

Recommendations from Sendai staff at JR East Travel Service Center

The staff at JR East Travel Service Center Sendai recommends the "homemade aged beef tongue," a specialty of Sendai. It is a thick slice of beef tongue, yet very tender and satisfying. We recommend tasting the salt-flavored beef tongue as it is at first, and then with wasabi (Japanese horseradish). It is so delicious that you will not be able to stop eating, and you will be able to devour a whole plate in no time.
And be sure to try another dish, "furofuki daikon". You will be surprised at how big the dish is when it arrives. The daikon has been simmered for a long time, so the daikon is so tender that the chopsticks can easily pass through it. Both the daikon and the boiled egg are full of flavor and have a nostalgic, warming taste.
