On October 14, 2022, we celebrated the 150th anniversary of the railroad! With various stations all over Japan, railroads have become an indispensable means of transportation in our daily lives, haven't they?
So, this time we will focus on JR East's Kagohara Station and introduce some trivia unique to Kagohara Station!

There are many train splits and additions!

About half of the passenger trains that stop at Kagohara Station are augmented or split.
This is because some stations north of Kagohara Station cannot accommodate 15 cars.
Therefore, you can see the splitting and adding trains every day on the platform at Kagohara Station!

Activities
There is a volunteer group, "Kagohara Station Lover's Group," which displays seasonal plants in the space inside the ticket gate.
The group has received the "Medal with Green Ribbon," which is said to be awarded to those who have been engaged in volunteer activities for many years and have made outstanding achievements!
