Onigiri that continues to be loved

Founded in 1961 by proprietress Ukon's husband, Bongo has been in business for about 60 years and opened a new location on October 10, 2022. Onigiri are now available at convenience stores, but in the early days, onigiri were not something you went out to eat, but something you made at home, so onigiri specialty stores were a rarity. Today, we are a very popular onigiri specialty restaurant, making more than 1,000 onigiri a day!

Unique new menu items
The variety of onigiri available at Onigiribongo is very large, with a whopping 56 varieties; 46 years ago, there were only about 20 varieties, and customers told us that the natto onigiri was a rarity. The reason for the wide variety was a comment from a regular customer who said, "I want to try it! I want to try it! New items have been added to the menu one after another. The newest item on the menu is the "peperoncino rice ball. In addition, we do not create a hidden menu, but post the best 10 toppings in the restaurant. Please find your own "favorite onigiri" by adding toppings to your onigiri!

Onigiri actual meal!

Ingredients matched with Niigata Koshihikari

We had the standard menu of salmon and ume plum, and a unique menu of curry and peperoncino... The onigiri are filling and satisfying, and even female customers can finish two onigiri in one sitting! The miso soup is refillable, but we were told that many customers do not refill their miso soup in consideration of those standing in line. However, the proprietress wants her customers to refill without hesitation!

Food = life." But no matter how good the place is, I would rather tell people what kind of environment and with whom to eat than talk about work and enjoyable meals.

Onigiri Bongo also offers take-out!
You will have to wait in line just like customers who eat in the restaurant, but if you order by phone the day before, you can specify a specific time. We do not accept orders over the Internet.
